Any-whom, what is going on with MY family? Layla is starting school in August, and all disgusted that SHE had to wait 3 years after Jake started school, but Jaiden only has to wait one year after she starts. She isn't upset about being the oldest kid in class, just hat she had to wait so long and he doesn't.
Jaiden is loving nursery, and is "helping Mommy get Micah ready" . He is such a good big brother, playing with him, showing him books, saving a spot next to himself for Micah for singing time (SO cute). The nursery leader has even commented. She thought that Jai Jai was old enough to leave nursery after his upcoming birthday, and was just having speech problems. (she knew Jacob when he was having speech difficulties) I had to tell her "No, he's just tall." he may not be the oldest child in the class but he is the tallest. Sizes are Shirts : 4t Pants: 5t. My little behemoth.
Jacob is going to go into the 1st grade and is excited to think that he might get the same teacher that Daniel used to have. I keep telling him that that is not a guarantee.
Daniel is in cub scouts now,and in fact is attending his first day of day camp as we type. He was super jazzed! 17 boys in his den all around the same age as him! And there are going to be a total of 150 boys present between 8 and 12. GLAD I WON"T BE THERE!( can't stand boys at that age! one is bad enough!) And yes he is whining about going back to school anytime I bring up the subject. But he likes the thought of being a 3rd grader. "I'm half-way done with Elementary school", he brags. Don't remind me. He wasn't supposed to grow this fast.
Micah is Micah. Taking after all of his older siblings in one area or the other. He is as all younger siblings are, an amalgam of the older children around him, and mostly the 2 closest in age to him. He has Layla's sneaky and vindictive streaks, and Jai Jai's fearless and dare devil tendancies (pray for me!).
Derrick and I are doing well also. We (Duh) just celebrated 10 years together. We plan on going to the movies soon to celebrate properly. Derrick is doing well at work, being mentioned positively in the client's surveys. He still makes me laugh at least once a day, just as he promised, but ordinarily my face ends up hurting from the laughter by bed time. We work hard at our marriage, but we have so much fun together, it doesn't seem like work. Only like ensuring each other's happiness. So I guess it's all good here.
